Do I need to create an account to download my resume?

What format is the resume exported in?
You get two PDF options. Download PDF creates an A4 PDF that looks exactly like the preview; it is rendered as an image, so its text cannot be selected. ATS PDF opens your browser's print dialog — choose “Save as PDF” to get a text-based PDF that applicant tracking systems can read. Use the ATS PDF for online applications (how ATS reads your resume).
Is my resume data stored or shared?
No. Your resume is built in your browser and is never sent to our servers. Nothing is saved either: refreshing the page clears the form, so finish and download your PDF in one session.

Resume or CV — which one do I need?
In the US and Canada a resume is a 1–2 page summary of your experience, while a CV is a longer academic record. In the UK, Ireland and most of Europe, “CV” is simply the name for that 1–2 page document. MakeCV builds the 1–2 page version. Resume vs CV explained.
