MakeCV is a free, browser-based resume builder. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website.

2. Data We Collect

• Resume data: All resume information you enter is processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit or store it on any server.
• Usage data: our advertising partner may collect data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited in order to serve ads.
• Cookies: our advertising partner may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve and measure advertisements.

3. Advertising

MakeCV is free because it displays ads served by Adsterra: banners, a native ad block, a social bar, sponsored links marked "Sponsored", and a pop-under that opens at most once per session after you download your resume. Ads never appear in the PDF you download.

Adsterra and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to choose and measure ads. See the Adsterra Privacy Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

4. Cookies

• Essential cookies: Used to remember your cookie consent preference (stored in localStorage).
• Advertising cookies: Set by our advertising partner (Adsterra) to serve and measure ads.
• Analytics cookies: Set by Google Analytics to measure aggregate site usage. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland they are only set after you click "Accept"; before that Google Analytics receives cookieless pings.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data. Since we do not store your resume data, no deletion request is necessary for resume content. To opt out of personalized ads, use the Decline button on the cookie banner (shown on the resume builder; reopen it with "Cookie Settings" in the builder's footer) or visit Your Online Choices.

7. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
